China Securities Regulatory Commission signed Memorandum of Understanding with Cayman Islands Monetary Authority

Recently, the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) and Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA) signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Regarding Securities and Futures Regulatory Cooperation. The signing of the MOU will enhance information exchange and enforcement cooperation in the field of securities and futures supervision between the CSRS and CIMA, marking a new phase of bilateral cooperation between the two regulators.

At present a great number of Chinese companies incorporated in Cayman Island have tapped the global capital markets for financing or getting listed overseas. CSRC always attaches great importance to the communication and cooperation with overseas securities and futures regulators. So far, CSRC has established cross-border regulatory enforcement cooperation mechanism with regulators from 63 countries or regions to jointly crack down on misconducts and protect investors' legitimate rights.
