China Securities Regulatory Commission signs MOU with Financial Services Agency of Japan

On October 26, 2018, witnessed by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Mr. Liu Shiyu, Chairman of China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) and Mr. Toshihide Endo, Commissioner of the Financial Services Agency of Japan (JFSA) signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the Promotion of Securities Markets Cooperation between China and Japan in Beijing. The MOU signed between the two regulators will bring bilateral ties to a new stage.


As this year marks the 40th anniversary of the signing of the China-Japan Treaty of Peace and Friendship, the CSRC and the JFSA pledge to fully implement the important consensus reached by the state leaders of the two countries, supporting and promoting comprehensive, substantive and mutually beneficial cooperation at various levels between the capital markets of both sides. To support the above MOU between the CSRC and the JFSA, stock exchanges and industry associations of both countries also signed MOUs on bilateral cooperation.
