CSRC and IMF Jointly Held Training Seminar on Fintech and Cybersecurity

The China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) jointly held the Fintech and Cybersecurity Training Seminar in Shenzhen from March 21st to 23rd, 2018. This training seminar was held under the framework of the bilateral MOU between the CSRC and the IMF on mid to long-term technical assistance. In recent years, the two sides have been carrying out ongoing cooperation  on areas including supervision and development of capital markets, systemic risk prevention and stakeholder communications.


Experts from the IMF, Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), Europe Nasdaq, Morgan Stanley, KPMG, the People’s Bank of China (PBoC) Digital Currency Research Institute, and Tencent were invited to give lectures during the seminar. They shared insights and regulatory experiences through detailed case studies on the development of Fintech and Regtech, the application of machine intelligence in trade surveillance and anomaly detection, cloud computing and compliance, cyber risk mitigation, and blockchain technology.


The seminar attracted around 100 participants from different departments, regional offices and affiliated institutions of the CSRC.
