CSRC Chairman Mr. GUO Shuqing Appointed as new vice-chairman of the Executive Committee of International Organization of Securities Commission

In the Executive Committee and Technical Committee combined meeting of International Organization of Securities Commission (IOSCO) held between February 7th and 10th 2012, Mr. GUO Shuqing, Chairman of China Securities Regulatory Commission was elected and appointed to be the vice-chairman of the Executive Committee .

 

IOSCO is the most important international organization in securities regulation, with the responsibility of setting forth international standards and guidances for regulators of securities and futures markets around the world. It also coordinates and cooperates with international organizations like G20 and FSB in tackling crisis. Executive committee is the top decision-making arm of IOSCO.
