CSRC Signed MOU with Qatar Financial Markets Authority

China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) concluded a Memorandum of Understanding(MOU)Regarding Securities and Futures Regulatory Cooperation with Qatar Financial Markets Authority (QFMA) on April 7, 2011 in Beijing. The MOU was signed by H.E. Shang Fulin Chairman of CSRC and H.E. Nasser Ahmed Al Shaibi Chief Executive Officer of QFMA. Mr. Ahmed Al Dehaimi Charged Affairs and Counsellor of Qatar Embassy to China was present and witnessed the MOU signing between CSRC and QFMA.

 

At the MOU signing ceremony, Chairman Shang Fulin was quoted as saying:"CSRC attaches great importance to supervisory cooperation with foreign regulators. The MOU signed between the two regulators will enhance exchanges of views and cooperation in the field of securities and futures supervision and promote sound development of capital markets in both countries." In responding, Mr. Nasser Ahmed Al Shaibi said:"Through this agreement we believe that a strong foundation for cooperation will be laid that will not only provide a structure of support, but also foster mutual understanding and encourage the exchange of regulatory and technical information between our two Organizations."

 

Established in October 1992, CSRC has been actively involved in regulatory information exchange and cross-border enforcement cooperation with its overseas counterparts. So far, CSRC has signed 50 MOUs with securities and futures regulators from 46 countries or regions.
