28-03-2019

To implement the outcome of the 2nd China-Germany High Level Financial Dialogue held in January this year, enhance bilateral regulatory cooperation on cross-border derivatives activities, and promote coordinated action under extreme market conditions, China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) and Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht (BaFin) signed the Side Letter for Cooperation and Exchange of Information on the Regulation of Derivatives Activities on March 18th, 2019 in Frankfurt. The side letter constitutes an integral and complementary part of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Regarding Securities and Futures Regulatory Cooperation between CSRC and BaFin, and its signing will, by strengthening regulatory cooperation, contribute to the pragmatic cooperation of the two capital markets and the sound development of China Europe International Exchange (CEINEX), which is a trading venue co-founded by China and Germany. It also represents the starting of a new phase for the bilateral regulatory cooperation between CSRC and BaFin.
