CSRC Signed MOUs Respectively with Luxemburg Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier and Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission

On May 17, 2012, the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) signed a new China-Luxemburg Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Regarding Securities and Futures Regulatory Cooperation with Luxemburg Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier in Beijing, China. On the same day, the CSRC also signed a China-Cyprus Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Regarding Securities and Futures Regulatory Cooperation with Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission in Beijing, China. The MOUs signed between the CSRC and the above two regulators respectively are of great significance to further enhancing information exchange and cooperation in the area of securities and futures supervision between them and to promote the sound development of their respective capital markets, marking a new era for the cooperation between the CSRC and the aforementioned regulators.

The CSRC has been actively involved in regulatory information exchange and cross-border enforcement cooperation with its overseas counterparts since its establishment in October 1992. So far, the CSRC has signed 53 MOUs with securities and/or futures regulators from 49 countries and regions.
